Incontinence:  A problem that may be preventing you from living life to the fullest.

Urine leakage may be keeping you from enjoying the most important aspects of your life.

Incontinence can make you feel less feminine and less intimate with others.

Fear of urine loss may be preventing you from playing with your children or grandchildren, enjoying tennis, golf, jogging or even walking.

You may have stopped traveling because you need to be near a bathroom.   You are not alone. Urinary incontinence affects 20 million women, 80 percent of whom can be treated effectively without medications or surgery.  Women in their menopausal years are often affected but younger women may have difficulty after childbearing.

sumbul1a.gif (331 bytes) Stress Incontinence is leakage of a small amount of urine associated with coughing, sneezing or jumping.  This is often due to a weakness of the pelvic floor muscles after childbearing or menopause.

Regain Bladder Control !

First, make an appointment for a consultation.  You will have a complete medical history taken including a review of your urinary questionnaire and voiding diary.  A thorough physical exam focusing on pelvic floor relaxation and urodynamic evaluation will determine what is causing your specific problem.
