The Importance of Measuring Bone Density,
the "Silent Disease"

There are rarely signs of osteoporosis until a lot of bone has been lost. The test is inexpensive, fast, painless, and because the scan uses ultrasound waves, it is 100% safe, and because it's not an x-ray it does not expose patients or staff to radiation.

Conducted by trained operators, every person tested is given information on bone health, calcium requirements, menopause and general advice on the importance of good bone health.
